Location
Halls Bayou Ranch sits on Texas’s Gulf Coast approximately 45 minutes south of downtown Houston. Members have year round access to the ranch’s 20+ thousand acres as well as its 5,000 square foot lodge that sleeps 28. The lodge is a great place to hold private functions including, but not limited to birthdays, showers, weekend getaways, and meetings.
Variety
We offer a number of hunting opportunities including duck and goose, sandhill crane, dove, wild hog, deer, alligator, and varmint. Hunts can be self-conducted or members may take advantage of our professional guide staff. It is not rare for members to see many different kinds of ducks during a hunt; from red heads and canvasbacks to teal, mallards and gadwall, HBR has them all and more. Fresh and saltwater fishing is also included.
What Makes Us Unique
Our Dedicated Staff
We work diligently year round to ensure our members have access to multiple pristine hunting locations. We also work closely with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Ducks Unlimited to enhance our wetlands environment to draw waterfowl to our property. Thanks to our addition of 2 water wells HBR is completely self-reliant for water, allowing us to greatly improve our rice production. Our ranch is strictly managed, ponds are rotated each weekend and some are designated as “sanctuary only” to help retain waterfowl on the property. While many of our fresh water ponds contain above ground blinds, members may find that some of the best hunting comes from “ambush style” hunting. In our experience we have found that one of the easiest ways to ruin a good duck pond is by adding a blind to it. We encourage all members to come learn the ranch on your own; being well versed on pond and marsh locations will greatly increase your hunting experience and overall return on your investment.
